Cayetano ‘burns’ a fakenews published on Abante News

A tabloid print media published a story attacking Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano accusing him of milking the Overseas Filipino Workers through passport appointment.

The Abante’s headline states “Sindikato namayagpag kay Cayetano. OFWs ginagatasan sa passport appointment”

The secretary did not let this fakenews to shine. Cayetano went to his facebook account page to rectify the misleading, malicious, erroneous and lack of research news item.

Here’s an open letter of Cayetano to Abante

Dear Abante,

Thank you for the front page hatchet job.

May sarili silang express lane. Pati first time OFWs kasama na din sa express lane. No appointments needed.

Before this attack has surfaced, a screenshot of alleged a netizen chatting with an officer from DFA who accordingly asked P2,000 for passport appointment. However the screenshot is not a strong evidence as it can be done through photoshop or a fake DFA facebook account.

Clearly, there is a new force created to undermine and destroy the integrity and success of Sec. Alan in making tons of new changes in the DFA.
