Setting aside politics between Senator Kiko Pangilinan and President Rodrigo Duterte when the opposition is always on the attack to criticize the present administration is hard to stop. But for the sake of New Year resolution’s of actress Sharon Cuneta, she aimed to have a unity and peace among Filipinos.
In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said, “it’s not too let forgive but it is really hard to forget, especially when the opposition is trying to pin the president down. Tell Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and his allies to stop ruining the good image of our beloved president for the love of our country.”
Despite the war of words between the camps of both Sen. Pangilinan supporters and President Duterte followers, the megastar still hopeful that one day everyone would agree for the common good for Filipinos as she was thrilled for bringing her name up by the president that she was a friend by Davao Mayor Sara Duterte.
In one the Facebook posts of Sharon, she said “(All politics aside — into which I have unfortunately been dragged by mere association to my Senator-hubby’s work:) Thank you, Mr. President Duterte, Sir, for what you said on the news about me and my friend Mayor Inday Sara last night. May God bless you, Sir!”
Cuneta unapologetically said she was “kilig,” even if it might not be appropriate.
“So ‘kilig!’ Might be an inappropriate word, everyone –but hey – it’s how I feel!” she added. Duterte mentioned that he owed a debt of gratitude to Cuneta’s husband, Senator Francis Pangilinan, for setting up the meeting. The president recalled that Sara had wanted to meet Sharon for her birthday when she was younger.
This is the right time to look ahead and start a Good relationship among us. It is a time to connect with each other. Lets place people over politics, hope over despair, healing over hurting, inclusion over exclusion and development over divisiveness.
